Since their formation in 1998, the Nocturnal Sound Krew (NSK) progressed from young bedroom DJs to internationally recognized battle DJs, versatile party rockers and event promoters. Diversely represented in Honolulu ’s nightlife scene, NSK have maintained residencies at every significant party for the past 5 years.
What started as a group of friends with a common interest in music and deejaying has lead to multiple DJ competition titles and many high profile club appearances worldwide. They are the only DJ’s to ever win back-to-back world titles from the International Turntablist Federation Team competition, (2001 and 2002). For many years they were fixtures on the world DJ competition circuit with appearances in cities from Los Angeles to Germany.
Since their competition days, the Krew have gone on to dominate the Hawaii nightlife scene as genre-defying DJ’s, promoters and event coordinators. With a penchant for playing everything from hip hop, classic soul, electro rock, house, and dance classics, expect the Noc’ Boys to make you sweat to music you never realized you enjoyed
The Krew’s DJ schedule is testament to their “anyone, anytime, anywhere” swagger. Currently they can be heard at Skyline (Hano Hano Room), Soul Clap (Thirtyninehotel), Enterprise (Loft), Acid Wash (Next Door), Get Fresh (Indigo), Release (Sheraton Kauai), Cancun (Senor Frogs) the W Hotel, Living Room, Venus and O Lounge. As well as their normal DJ appearances, NSK have performed at concerts featuring artists such as Common, De La Soul, Guru, Afrika Bambataa, Hollertronix, and Kid Sister and special events for companies such as Roxy, Ad2 Honolulu and K-1 martial arts.
Aside from their DJ accomplishments, NSK have partnered in coordinating events with companies such as Scion Hawaii, SMART magazine, In4mation, and Exclusive and provided consultation on designing co-branded limited edition apparrell for Fitted Hawaii, Kicks HI, Local Motion, and Project SRS
